In this section, I will try to bring you some interesting, hard to
find, and intriguing pages from around the Internet. I hope
you enjoy it. Please feel free to drop me a line on our contact
page if you find any of it useful. I have no financial interest in
any of the following pages and products. Click the links to go
there. Bob Dokhanchi, DDS
1-Google Earth: I'm sure most of you have already tried this
but make sure you have the latest version that has all sorts of
functions such as live traffic and Exploring the Sky. It's truly
amazing. Here are some demo pages:
Google Earth Demo
Sky Explorer
2- If you are looking for software, shareware, or freeware, try
Snap Files, Tucows, and PocketGear (for handheld devices).
Between the three of them, you can find almost any software.
Make sure you try the freeware sections before you pay for
one.
3- iPod dock female connection at CableJive: I looked for this
cable for a long time and finally found it. Since Google
searches my site, I'm hoping it can help someone else with
the same problem. This cable will convert an iPod dock cable
(male) into a 3.5mm (1/8'' mini stereo) auxiliary plug. So if you
buy a car that does not have an auxiliary audio input but has
an iPod dock cable (or option) you can use this to be able to
use another mp3 player using an existing iPod connecting
cable or dock. Here is another version.
4- Archos 705WiFi with 160GB of hard drive: Simply the best
media player/web borwser/DVR on the market. You think your
iPod or iTouch is great? Think again. Oh ya, it's also cheaper.
Now if they can only add a phone to it...
5- Wikipedia: The free online encyclopedia.
6- The Free Dictionary: If you have not been there, you
should give it a visit. It includes a Dictionary / Thesaurus,
Medical Dictionary, Legal Dictionary, Financial Dictionary,
Acronyms, Idioms, and Encyclopedia. A great tool for
everyone.
7- 1728 Software Systems: A truly amazing site for all but
especially for students. Calculators, reference topics, and
tutorials have made this site one of my favorite sites on the
Internet.
8- Tire Rack: In the market for some car tires? Don't forget to
check this site. You can buy from them directly or ask your
local tire shop to match their price. They also carry my
favorite winter/snow tires, Bridgestone Blizzak. Just make
sure to take them off around March 15th.
